The Tourism Department, Government of Odisha, on July 31, 2026, amended the Odisha Homestay Establishment Scheme, 2025 – Operational Guidelines by revising the eligibility conditions for applicants. The applicant must be a resident of the concerned Block where the notified Gram Panchayat is situated, be above 18 years of age, and not have been convicted under any law. Preference will be given to applications from the notified Gram Panchayats, and the Scheme is open to applicants of all genders.
The notification also makes a correction to the list of notified Gram Panchayats in Rayagada District. At Serial No. 06 of Annexure-1 to the amendment dated April 28, 2026, “Kulusing” Gram Panchayat is replaced with “Puttasing” Gram Panchayat.
All other provisions of the Odisha Homestay Establishment Scheme, 2025 and the April 28, 2026 amendment remain unchanged and in force. The amendments take immediate effect.
